The band have been busy recording in a dingy North London studio, laying down a Herculean 35 tracks in 3 days. The resulting material is now at the Negative Sonic Laboratory being processed into the next VR release.

The most recent Venus Ray album The World Woke Up Without Me was released on April 21st 2003. You can order it now direct from Negative Records for the special UK on-line price of £9.99 inc P&P (a little more for the rest of the World). Click here to order this and other Negative titles.

Tony and Diggory can be heard as half of The Scoundrelles on the acclaimed compilation album The Sympathetic Sounds of Toe Rag recorded by Liam Watson on the all-conquering Sympathy For The Record Industry label. The Scoundrelles album is finished, and should be released early next year. For more info visit www.scoundrelles.com

Barney has been working on music for the upcoming BBC film Brenin. Based on research into the theory of Elvis Presley's Welsh ancestry, it explores an imaginary cult of the King in the Preseli Hills of Pembrokeshire.

The last single Hurricane was released on very limited clear square vinyl in February, but has now sold out. Sorry to all those unable to snap one up.

A tribute page to the much-missed Steve Smith is now on-line, along with a guestbook where you can post messages and memories. Click here to visit.
